Bills come over a year later for something you already paid for and they claim not to have received payment, and because they already have your card on file they just go ahead and charge it. I’ve found the other reviews I’ve seen on Trustpilot accurate - the medical providers are excellent, but the billing department is shady. However - I’m dropping my review from 5 stars to 2 after my experiences with their billing department. If I were just evaluating the medical care aspect, I’d give them 5 stars. It'd been a while since I'd been to the doctor, partly because I didn't find visits that helpful in the past, but this experience changed my perspective. Brett was super patient with all of my questions and answered them thoughtfully and thoroughly and took all the time necessary to ensure everything was addressed. Very welcoming environment, and everyone was exceptionally helpful and friendly.

At the end of the day, insureds are screwed. So they make more money off the insurance carriers and insureds by inflating the prices. They said prices are for people who don't have insurance so they charge more to insurance holders.

The latter visit was high but I got a real professional actually doing something and there was lab work which was really a $350+ covid, flu and rsv test.

The bill for the in office plus lab work submitted was $600+ and out of pocket was $210. I checked the insurance's website and they are in network plus messaged and called them to confirm that they are indeed in network. Didn't have much choice since I needed care. On my visit in the office the next day, they said they were not in network and had me sign a notice. Saw them claim $400+ to my insurance and I have to pay $119 out pocket. Was on there for less than ten minutes and was told to go into the office. For a virtual visit, they have the price of $99. That's the only way companies like this will be held accountable.Ĭarbon Health's website has a price list. Then complain to the state medical board and your insurance company. I advise EACH AND EVERY PERSON who has dealt with this to complain to the attorney general in your state if they accept these complaints. Then, billing just keeps rerouting you and the providers play dumb like they don't know what's going on. Huh? Now, I have no idea if/when I'll get another random charge. Weeks later, I get a $10 bill and before I could even pay it, I get a 'Thank you for your payment,' and an email receipt. She obviously did an electronic consent without my permission.

I read EVERY form I signed, and I did not authorize it. She said okay, then apparently proceeded to place my card on file without my authorization. It's an FSA card and I need to authorize every charge. I expressly told the woman at the front desk at the Austin Arboretum location I did not want my card placed on file.
